1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

When you play Meridian Redacted without an account, we collect only anonymous usage data (pages visited, levels attempted, time spent) via PostHog analytics. No personally identifiable information is collected from anonymous players.

If you create an account, we collect your email address (used only for authentication and optional game notifications) and the codename you choose. We do not collect your name, address, or payment information at this time.

2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use collected information to:

• Operate and improve the game
• Save your progress across sessions (if logged in)
• Display your codename on the leaderboard (if logged in)
• Send game update notifications (only if you opt in)
• Analyze player behavior in aggregate to improve puzzle design

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

We use the following third-party services:

• PostHog — anonymous usage analytics
• Supabase — authentication and database (accounts only)
• Resend — transactional email (accounts only, if opted in)
• Cloudflare — hosting, CDN, and DDoS protection

Each service has its own privacy policy governing their data handling.

4. COOKIES

Meridian Redacted uses cookies as part of game mechanics (certain puzzle levels set cookies that are required to solve those levels). We also use session cookies for authentication if you are logged in. We do not use advertising cookies.

5. DATA RETENTION

Account data is retained as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us. Anonymous analytics data is retained per PostHog's data retention policies.

6. YOUR RIGHTS

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at the email address below.

7. CHILDREN

Meridian Redacted is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.
